Last month's Home with House episode had a mellow late night groove, but this month's mix is much more energetic. Similar to episode 10, this mix is all about the funk. Jackin, pumping and upbeat funky house. Episode 17 has a fun and playful vibe and so it also has an appropriately fun name: Mr. FunkHouser. There isn't much more to say about it than that. but why 128kbit?
Thanks for the comment. I release all my podcasts in 128kbit quality format because it is more accessible and faster to download for everyone for their iPods and other mobile devices. Podcasts tend to be streamed a lot too, so it cuts down on my server strain from all the traffic, and helps ensure that people streaming it have fast and unchoppy music coming in. 128Kbit is fairly common for podcast mp3 quality.
My other mixes I release on this website in both 320Kbit and 128Kbit quality though, as they aren't intended to be like podcasts (although many still use them in the same way) and some people will prefer the higher quality version even if it takes longer to download.
I considered releasing my podcasts in both formats as well, but decided that may become too confusing for people that subscribe and follow the podcast every episode as there would be 2 mp3s associated with every episode instead of the 1.
